Our Story
Formerly known as Texas Limestone Inc., Culp & Son, LTD. is a family owned and operated limestone quarry in Florence, Texas. Richard Culp has been in the rock business, in some form, for the past 30 years. He began his career as a mason, serving his apprenticeship in Fort Hood Texas after which he started his own business, Culp Masonry. Twenty years ago he started his first quarry, Culp Stone. Upon graduation from high school, Cameron Culp joined his father, Richard in the running of the business. Cameron started out as a mason, learning the trade and supervising their work crews, while Richard concentrated on running the quarry. In 1996 they decided to double their efforts at the quarry and left the masonry business.
Cameron handles the equipment repairs and daily
running of the quarry, while Richard concentrates on sales, dispatching, and
billing. They have a small crew of men who have been working together for
years, some as long as fifteen. Everyone works together to bring you the
